Matobo Walking Safaris
Discover the beauty of the bush on foot, either at dusk or dawn, with Matobo walking safaris. See the wildlife in their habitat as they wake to a new day or fall asleep at the end of their day.
Guided walks offer a unique perspective, allowing guests to observe wildlife up close and learn about the park’s flora and fauna.
Walking In The african Bush
Shashani Lodge Walking Safaris
For those who prefer a more immersive experience, walking safaris provide an opportunity to explore the park on foot. You will spot a variety of animals consisting of hyena, kudu, eland, zebra, giraffe, sable, wildebeest, warthog, and impala.
A guide is not just someone who leads the way but is a true guardian of the wild, a companion, an experience creator, and a storyteller who will unveil the secrets of the bush like no one else can. Our game guides will take you on a journey with their tales of the bush and animals.

In many respects a safari guide serves multiple roles:
- acting as a safe and reliable conduit to a natural world that is inaccessible to most
- creating a once-in-a-lifetime, or at the very least, a memorable experience
- to inspire and educate guests in fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world and instilling a sense of responsibility
Nibbles and refreshments are served along the way.
Our walks are about 2 hours long, and you, the guest, decide on the time you wish to set out.
